FLORENCE– Mayor Mickey Haddock is pleased to announce the annual CITYWIDE CLEAN-UP EVENT to be held on Saturday, April 9, at the Florence-Lauderdale Coliseum. Mayor Haddock, City employees, and volunteers will team up to target street rights-of-way that are heavily littered. Volunteers will meet in the Florence-Lauderdale Coliseum parking lot or previously designated area at 8:00 a.m. The event will be held from 8:00 a.m. until 12 Noon. Participants will be provided breakfast, vests, gloves, bags, and lunch. Biscuits, coffee, and water will be served for breakfast sponsored by Waste Connection’s.

April has been designated as Earth Month, and Mayor Haddock would like to encourage all citizens to help clean our beautiful City.
Motorists are asked to use caution when traveling on the 9th and watch for volunteers who will be working along our streets.
