FLORENCE-The Florence City Schools Board of Education and Florence High School would like to announce graduation plans to honor the Class of 2020. At a time of great uncertainty in our nation, leaders of FCS and FHS have painstakingly studied ways to provide our graduates with a memorable celebration of their accomplishments. With the recent lifting of State mandated closures and the limiting of participants at events we can now proceed with commencement plans.

On the evening of June 12, 2020, at 7 P.M., Florence High School seniors will be afforded the opportunity to participate in a graduation ceremony at Braly Stadium. Florence City Schools has made accommodations to observe the required social distancing policies by utilizing both the West and East sides of the stadium. To assist FCS with this requirement, each FHS graduate will receive five (5) tickets to distribute to family and friends. Below we will outline additional information which is important to observe.

  • Ticket holders will be assigned to either the West or East side of the stadium and must have a ticket in hand in order to enter the stadium gate.
  • Ticket holders must only sit in seats designated with an “X” to help observe social distancing.
  • Seating will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Stadium gates will open at 6:00 P.M.
  • Florence City Schools asks that all attendees observe social distancing requirements of six (6) feet at all times.
  • Graduates will have designated parking and line-up area at the stadium on the adjacent baseball field. Family and friends of graduates will not be allowed to enter that area.
  • Graduates will not be allowed to enter the stadium seating from the field before, during, or after the ceremony.

Florence City Schools and Florence High School would like to thank you for your assistance and patience in celebrating the Class of 2020. We want to do everything we can to make sure our Class of 2020 gets the honor they deserve, and in a safe manner.
