FLORENCE-Florence City Schools has collaborated with the Lauderdale County District Attorney’s office to provide an informational night for parents on the potential dangers of smartphone social networking applications. The presentation will take place in the Florence High School Auditorium at 6:00 pm on Thursday, September 26, 2019.
Florence City Schools is committed to school student safety. In today’s ever-evolving technological world, there can be dangers lurking anywhere. Social networking technology moves at an astounding rate, and it may be difficult for parents to keep pace with their students. To help parents and guardians, Florence City Schools and the Lauderdale County District Attorney’s office want to support parents and their need to keep their students safe. Chief Assistant District Attorney Angie Hamilton will present some of the most popular social networking applications and the dangers they may present for students. The presentation is informative and a must for parents who want to have a more informed idea of the steps they can take to help keep their students safe on social media. The presentation is free to all parents of Florence City Schools’ students.
