Flora Katheryn Springer, age 79, of Lexington, Ala. passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at ECM Hospital after a brief illness. She was a native of Lauderdale County, Ala., a homemaker and of the Primitive Baptist Faith.
Funeral Services will be held at Loretto memorial Chapel on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Sam Etheridge and James Hulett Lemay will be officiating. Burial will follow in Pettus Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dolton Lloyd Springer and her parents Taylor and Maudie Eaton Lemay.
Survivors include her son, Jimmy Wayne Springer and wife Carla of Lexington, Ala.; daughters, Linda Pettus and husband Larry of Lexington, Ala., Judy Cox and husband Calvin of Lexington, Ala., Barbara Nix and husband Philip of Lexington, Ala.; brothers, David Lemay of Athens, Ala., and James Hulett Lemay of Athens, Ala.; sisters, Pauline Thomas of Loretto, Tenn., and Stella Owens of Athens, Ala.; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 honorary grandchild and 1 honorary great grandchild.
The Family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. McFall, Dr. Webb, Dr. Webb, and the 3rd floor Nursing Staff at ECM for all their loving care and comfort.
Loretto Memorial Chapel is in charge of all arrangements.
