Fleta Mae Nix, 85, of Tuscumbia, AL passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 1 pm in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Fleta was a member of Spruce Pine Baptist Church. She spent many years as an LPN at Shoals Nursing, caring and serving others. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Fleta also knew her way around the kitchen making the best fried apple pies and biscuits.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L.F. Nix; parents, Edgar and Katherine Bolding; son, Timothy Franklin Nix; sisters, LaVerne McDaniel and Betty Faye Bolding
She is survived by her son, Eddie Nix (Mary Beth); daughters, Teresa Box (John) and Sharon McGee (Richard); grandchildren, Steven Box, Anthony McGee, Andrew Box, Stephanie Nix, David Box, Ellen McGee, Zach Nix, and Carolyn Nix; and a host of great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be David Box, Andrew Box, Anthony McGee, Colby Kirby, and Zack Nix. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Box, Nicki Nichols, and Allen Nix.
