ATHENS-The city of Athens will hold the first annual Fit As A Fiddle Relay for Life 5K. This run is hosted by the City of Athens Relay for Life Team and sponsored in part by Steelcase, Chick-fil-A and Fleet Feet Sports.
ATHENS-The city of Athens will hold the first annual Fit As A Fiddle Relay for Life 5K. This run is hosted by the City of Athens Relay for Life Team and sponsored in part by Steelcase, Chick-fil-A and Fleet Feet Sports.The race is being held in conjunction with the Tennessee Valley Old Time Fiddlers Convention. It will be Saturday, October 5th, at 8 a.m. at the Sportplex on U.S. 31. We will hold late registration the day of the race from 6 to 7 a.m. at the Sportsplex. Cost for late registration is $25.
Money raised will support the American Cancer Society and local cancer patients with needs such as wigs, scarves, money for transportation and lodging costs associated with medical treatments.
As of Thursday morning, we have over 105 runners registered.
