Faye Morton, 92, graced Earth on June 26, 1931, to Florence and PC Smith, and blessed Heaven on September 16, 2023, at home, surrounded by family.
Faye knew no stranger and blessed all with her warm smile. She was well known for her proficiency in the kitchen and willingness to share her expertise. Faye inspired other with her passion for the Lord and was a faithful servant through Parkway Baptist Church in Tupelo. Faye cherished her career as a florist, but nothing brought more joy to her than caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband whom she loved for 75 years, Marion Morton; siblings, OE, Fred, Gilbert, John H, Russell, Ilene, Ruth, Blanche, Lula, Shirley.
Faye’s love will live on in her daughter, Deborah (David) Garnett, beloved niece, Paula (Jim) May and nephew, Gary (Donna) Farrar; grandchildren, Millie (Andy) Dyson, Justin (Cheyenne) Garnett, Josh Garnett; and great-grandchildren, Abby, Ethan, Natalie, Emory, Myles, Evan; and numerous additional nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 1:30 p.m. until service time Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Pegues, Tupelo.
Services honoring her life will at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues with Rev. Steve Nichols officiating. Private graveside services will follow at Tupelo Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be David Garnett, Andy Dyson, Justin Garnett, Josh Garnett, Ethan Dyson, and Sid Holcomb.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jim May, and Gary Farrar.
