Faye Isom age 86, of Arab passed away at her residence on Friday November 12, 2021. Faye was born on July 3, 1935, in Marshall County, AL the Daughter of J.P. and Lou Hawk. She graduated from Arab High School and was married to Q.V.J. Isom who preceded her in death in 1963. Faye and Q.V.J. had four young children that Faye would raise doing a wonderful job with the help of family and the Lord. Faye was a loving Mother and dedicated her life to her family and her Lord. Well into her later years she always enjoyed cooking for them and enjoyed family get togethers. She was a faithful Christian and faithful member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She attended regularly until she couldn’t go by herself. She continued to attend Church at Warrior Creek Missionary Baptist Church with her children until her health declined to the point she couldn’t. She was preceded in death by her Parents: J.P. and Lou Hawk; Husband: Q.V.J. Isom; Daughter: Janet Isom; Sister: Dean Williamson. Survivors include her Sons: Phil (Andra) Isom of Guntersville; Barry (Beth) Isom of Arab; Daughter: Kathy (Robert) Bates of Arab; Brothers: Dan (Verna Mae) Hawk and Don (Nan) Hawk of Arab; 11 Grandchildren and 24 Great Grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Funeral Service will be Monday Nov. 15, 2021, at 1 PM at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Steve Beam, Michael Lackey, Phil Isom and Ennis Stone officiating. Burial will follow in Arab Memorial Cemetery with Gober Funeral Chapel directing. She will lie in state at the Church on Monday from Noon until the time of service at 1 PM.
