Funeral service for Faye Edwards Smith, 93, will be Friday, August 31, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Joe Holmes and Brother Stanley Reeves officiating. Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Smith died Monday, August 27, 2018 at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born August 25, 1925, in Morgan County to Oscar A Edwards and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Jaquess Edwards. She was employed by and retired from Sears & Roebuck, where she was the first female technician. Faye was a caregiver for many people throughout the years, loved gardening and flowers and was a member of Vestavia Hills. She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Smith and her parents.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
