Faye Conner peacefully passed away on February 5, 2024, at the age of 75. She was born on February 19, 1948, in Gurley, Alabama, to the late Movia Claude and Pearlie Mae Oliver.

Faye grew up amidst the corn fields and cotton fields of New Market, where she learned the value of hard work and perseverance. She lived a small, simple yet fulfilling life.

In addition to her parents, Faye is preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

Faye is survived by her devoted companion of 50 years, Jessie Lee. She will be deeply missed by her children: Jeff (Kelly) Oliver, Lynn (Donnie) Williamson, and Betty (Phillip) Pickett.

Faye was a proud grandmother to nine precious grandchildren: Krista (Anthony) Yeager, Keith Hano, Courtney (Spencer) Allen, Laurie Oliver, Amanda Williamson, Brittney Whittle, James Whittle, Mandy Whittle, and Lucy Whittle. She also had the joy of being great-grandmother to eighteen cherished great-grandchildren, with the nineteenth on the way, expected to arrive in June. She is also survived by her siblings, brother AC Oliver and sister Joyce Bates.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 8th, 2024, at Hazel Green Funeral Home from 12:00 – 1:00 PM.  A celebration will follow beginning at 1:00 PM with Larry Johnson officiating.

Faye Conner will forever be remembered as a strong-willed individual who never hesitated to speak her mind. She lived life on her terms, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.  Faye was an angel in the lives of those who knew her, and her absence will be deeply felt.
