Faye Carolyn NeilFaye Carolyn Neil age 82 of Murfreesboro, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 13, 1938 in Estill Springs to the late Leonard and Hallie Mitchell Bates. She was employed at and eventually retired from Jack Daniels Distillery where she worked in production. Faye loved to spend time going to yard sales, watching Westerns, and traveling to casinos. She especially loved spending time with her family and cooking for them, particularly cornbread and pinto beans. She will always be remembered for her beautiful warm smile, and how loving, supportive, and caring she was. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Charles Neil; infant sons, Kenneth Dale Rogers, Ricky Lynn Rogers; infant daughter, Vicki Diane Rogers; siblings, Juanita Rogers, Opal Frier, Lillie Mae Richardson, Vennie Thrasher, Nolan Bates, Lester Bates, James Bates, Malcolm Bates, and Martha Cossey. She is survived by her sons, Allen (Glenna) Rogers of Huntingburg, IN, Lynn Rogers of Tullahoma; daughters, Annette (Mike) Peek of Murfreesboro, Julie Poe of Winchester; grandchildren, Drake (Stephanie) Rogers of Kataway, Ky, Leslie (David) Lukeman of Dale, IN, Heather (Aaron) Perdue of Colorado Springs, Co, Mallory (Matt) Garrett of Murfreesboro, Linsey (Matt) Miller of Lynchburg, Clay (Tasha) Harper of Lynchburg, Molly (Dashrara) O’Connor of Winston Salem, NC, Chris (Chelsie) Ross of Smyrna, Andrew Ross of Winchester, Ian Poe of Winchester; great grandchildren, Parker, Enly, Fisher, Ada, Sailor, Macy, Reilynn, Aubrey, Westin, Clara, Lincoln, Reagan, Payton; and brother, John Bates of Lynchburg. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with the Funeral Service following at 1:00 P.M. Interment will be held at Rose Hill Memorial Garden in Tullahoma with Drake Rogers, Clay Harper, Dashrara O’Connor, Christopher Ross, Andrew Ross, and Ian Poe serving as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Amedisys Hospice, 3901 Central Pike Suite 259, Hermitage, TN 37076.
