Faye Allen Russell Dickerson

Faye Allen Russell Dickerson, age 76, of Madison, Alabama went to be with our Lord on July 26, 2021. She was born on March 23, 1945 in Lebanon, TN and later began first grade at Pleasant Shade School in Pleasant Shade, TN. After completing her elementary schooling at Lafayette, TN, she began high school in Gallatin, TN and completed her high school work in Clarksville, TN.

Upon graduation from high school, she enrolled as a freshman at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN. During her time in college, she was a member of the Governettes where she performed at numerous athletic events. Faye graduated from Athens State University, in Athens, AL with a BS in elementary education.

On March 27, 1965, Faye was married to Tom Dickerson and they moved to Madison, AL where she taught elementary school at Harvest and Madison until they started a family. Later, Faye continued her love of teaching at First Baptist Church Madison where she taught children’s Sunday school, vacation bible school, and Kindergarten. In addition, she also served many years as a wedding director for couples in the Madison area.

Together, Faye and Tom built their home in 1971 in Madison, AL where they created a happy life for their children and grandchildren during their 56 years of marriage. In their married life, they cherished family traditions, celebrations, and vacations taking them across the country, cruising to Alaska and the Bahamas, and touring Europe. Most of all, Faye enjoyed making special memories and the blessings of family.

Faye is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Tom Dickerson, son Russ and wife Carrie, son Jeff and wife Crystal, daughter Tanya and husband Ryan Murray, and seven grandchildren including Joey, Bonnie, Jay, Ella, Eli, Evelyn, and Luke.
