Newby Marks, 92, of Huntsville, passed away Tuesday. Mrs. Marks was a member of Plainview Church of Christ in Hazel Green and was on the committee for the Merrimac Village School reunions. She was preceded in death by her husband, William ‘Vernon’ Ernest Marks; and sons, Ronald Howard Marks and Roy Bruce Marks.
Survivors include daughters, Gail Marks Jones of Huntsville, and Martha Marks Frederick and husband, Michael, of Hazel Green; son, Jerry Wayne Marks and wife, Kay, of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Jerry Marks, Jr., Bruno Marks, Ryan Frederick, Riley Frederick and Drew Jones; and great-grandchildren, Samantha, Taylor, and Dylan Marks, and Bianca Brown.
Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16th, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with the Brother Steve Hale officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
