Farnell Burnette, age 60 of Fayetteville, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Lincoln Medical Center. He was born in Franklin County, TN on April 8, 1963, to the late Jesse Gray and Christine Burnette Kelley and was a graduate of Lee High School in Huntsville. Before his retirement, Farnell was employed for over twenty years at Goodman. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed watching the University of Tennessee Volunteers, and fishing. He was a wonderful cook and enjoyed listening to music. Farnell will be remembered for his loving nature by his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Christopher Burnette, Larry Gray, and Edward Kelley Jr; sister, Joyce Gray-Tramil; grandchildren, Heavenly Burnette, and ShaHalo Burnette; father-in-law, Charlie William Hawk, and aunt, Rosie Powell. Farnell is survived by his loving children, Lakita (Maurice Dunn) Burnette, Farnell D. Burnette, Shamario Burnette, and Jocelyn Burnette; step-father, Edward Kelley; grandchildren, De’ Sharion Burnette, Kaleon Burnette, Jameson Burnette, Karma Farmer, Savera Burnette, Sylia Burnette, and Teonna Moore; siblings, Melita Burnette, Jannice Scott, Samuel Burnette, Vincent Burnette, Ronald Burnette, Marcus Kelley, and Charlesetta Brinson; aunts and uncles, Beverly Malone, Jo Ellen Hill, James Burnette, Ronnie Burnette, Murrell Burnette, and Richard Burnette; devoted friends, Samuel Eddings, Carrol Cashin, Terry Reese, Thomas Robinson, and Cortez Carmichael; devoted companion, Samantha Burnette; sisters and brothers-in-law, Charlotte (Samuel) Eddings, JoAnn Hawk, and Denise (Tony) Cannon; mother-in-law, Willie Hawk; and other extended family members and friends. Visitation will be from 10am-11am on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 239 Shelbyville Hwy, Fayetteville, TN.
