Fanchion Pendley Brock, age 84, of Haleyville passed away Friday, May 23, 2025 at her residence. She was born February 17, 1941 to Carl and Lillie Kelly Pendley. Fanchion was a member of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Haleyville. Visitation will be Sunday, May 25, 2025 at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held Monday at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Haleyville at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Union Grove Cemetery. Brother Keith Hood and Ronnie Melvin will officiate. Fanchion is survived by her children, Jeff (Juanita) Brock, Amy (Steven) Painter; grandchildren, Kimberly (Jonathan) Cole, Todd Brock, Joshua Painter, Hunter Painter; great-grandchildren, Emma, Lexie, and Riley Cole, Eli and Sahmara Brock; siblings, Gail Barnett, Roger Pendley; sister-in-law, Ruby Smith; and brother-in-law, Marshall Brock. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wallace Brock; two infant sons; parents, Carl and Lillie Pendley; granddaughter, Kirsten Brock; siblings, Lois Hardin, Troy (Ozell) Pendley, Nelson (Edith) Pendley, R. E. (Wynette) Pendley, Doyle (Betsy) Pendley, Orvil Pendley, Verlon (Virginia) Pendley; sister-in-law, Betty Pendley; and brother-in-law, Lacey Pendley.
