Faith Moody-Hammock Hanceville Funeral Home announces the passing of our very own and beloved, Faith Moody-Hammock, 81, of Hanceville, Alabama. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. Friday, December 22nd at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will take place at Union Hill Cemetery in Hanceville. Reverend Paul Campbell will be officiating the services. The family will welcome friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 21st from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and on Friday December 22nd from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.

Faith was born on March 27, 1942 in Hanceville and passed away on December 18, 2023 at her residence in Hanceville surrounded by her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Dee and Mattie Mae Hooper-Moody; and her sister, Alice Coyne.

Survivors include her long time companion, George Dodd; children, Jeff “Bart” Hammock (Vicki), Nancy Hammock-Keith (Jason) and Jamie (Jenny) Hammock; grandchildren, Justin Hammock (Erin), Jamie Hammock (Jessica), Morgan Hammock, Mallory Hammock, Joseph Keith, Jacob Keith, Mattie Claire Keith, and several step grandchildren; great grandchildren, Levi Hammock, Emie Hammock, Oliver Hammock, Aubrey Hammock, Halle Hammock; and several step great grandchildren; sisters, Brenda Holloway (Tommy), Cherri Ainsworth (Mike), and Donna Guthrie (John); and a host of many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Alan Baker, Mark Bement, Tim Compton, Brant Evans, Charles “Kayro” Gamble, Lane Horton, and Terrell Mahaffey.
