Evirgiline (Eve) Conway Bower, 77, of Florence, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2024. Born on October 10, 1947, Eve was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, Byron Buxton Bower III and Virginia Marie Hollis Bower, her sister, Hollis Bower McDonald, and her brother, Byron Buxton Bower IV.
Eve is survived by her cherished nephews and nieces: Justin Toby McDonald of Birmingham, Eve McDonald Boger of Franklin, Tennessee, Byron (Trip) Buxton Bower V of Florence, and Jessica (Jessie) Petree Bower of Nashville. She also leaves behind her three beloved dogs, Abby, Josh, and Rosco, whom she considered her children.
Eve was known for her endearing spirit and kind heart. A two-time cancer survivor, she faced life’s challenges with courage and grace. She found joy in working alongside her father at the Florence Hardware Store until its closure and shared many laughs with her mother, whom she affectionately called a “mess.”
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to those Eve held dear, especially Teresa and Ricky Moore, Courtney Shipley, and Shannon Peck, for their unwavering support and love.
A private service will be held at Greenview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Florence Lauderdale Animal Service.
