Evilee Baldwin Reid – Obituary

Mrs. Evilee Baldwin Reid, age 72 of Middleton, Tennessee, passed away Monday night, July 17, 2017.

Mrs. Reid was born in Brownfield, Mississippi on Monday, June 4, 1945 to the late Nud and Maxine Baldwin. She was raised in Pocahontas and lived most of her life in Middleton. She attended and played basketball at Middleton High School, graduating with the class of 1963. Later that year, on Saturday, December 14, 1963, she was united in marriage to Mr. Tommy Reid, who preceded her in death December 13, 2016.

She worked alongside her husband making cabinets for Reid’s Cabinet Shop, and was also a homemaker and licensed cosmetologist. She was a faithful member of New Bethany church of Christ. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, listening to Bluegrass music and visiting the mountains. Her friends and family were very important to her, and she missed her husband very much after his passing.

Survivors include her daughter, Ava Null and husband Kevin of Walnut, Mississippi; sons, Larry Reid and wife Deanna of Jackson, and Todd Reid of Middleton; sisters, Edith Craft and husband David of Middleton, Edna King of Olive Branch, Mississippi, Earline Armstrong of Pocahontas, and Elizabeth Johnson and husband Bob of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and grandchildren, Caleb Null, Scott Null, Ashley Reid Troutt and husband Adler, and Morgan Reid.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Daniel Reid, who passed away in 1970; and a brother, Jimmy Hudson, who died in 1995.
