Everett W. Potts, Sr. age 73 of Athens, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Potts was born May 5, 1940 in Rome, GA to Ernest L. Potts and Allie Pilgrim Potts.
Services for Mr. Potts are Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery with Bro. David Dollar officiating.
He was a member of the Baptist Church. He was retired from Bax Global as a District Manager. He was an avid golfer and bass fisherman.
He is survived by his wife Anita Potts of Athens; sons, Michael Crane, Sr. of Scottsboro and Everett W. Potts, Jr. of Woodville; daughter, Patricia Crane of Athens; grandchildren, Michael Crane, Jr. of Scottsboro, Clint Devan Potts of Athens and Sierra Crane of Athens; sisters, Erma Clemons of Rome, GA and Janie Smith and husband Richard of Rome, GA; several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Allie Potts; several brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers are Michael Crane, Sr., Clint Potts, Everett Potts, Jr., Chad Tribble, Michael Crane, Jr. and Virgil Johnston.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or send flowers.
