Evelyn Ruth Graves, 88, of Mentone, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2025. She was born in Mentone, Alabama, on March 25, 1937 to the late Herman Paul Jones Sr. and Kathryn Ellis Jones. She was retired from the State of Alabama and a member of Moon Lake Baptist Church and the Valley Head Women’s Club.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Wolcott officiating. Burial will follow in Bankhead Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. hour of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made Moon Lake Baptist Church Education Trust Fund.
She is survived by her children Sandra Pruitt and husband Hershell and Lee Graves and wife Kit; brother Herman Paul Jones, Jr.; 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 3 nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Jimmy Graves.
