Evelyn Ruth Crowe Ward Trader – Obituary

EvelynEvelyn Ruth Crowe Ward Trader, age 82 of Lynn, entered into rest on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Walker Baptist Hospital.

She was born on March 13, 1930. Mrs. Trader was a member of Lynn Baptist Church for 50+ years where she served as a Sunday School teacher and was involved with the W.M.U. She was a 1948 graduate of Lynn High School and a 1968 graduate of Northwest Alabama Trade School of Nursing. Evelyn was a nurse for Cooper Green Hospital and various nursing homes. She was a long time member of Easter Star. Evelyn enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2012 from 6-9pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where services will be held on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 2:30pm. Burial will follow in Lynn Cemetery. Brother Rickie Mann will officiate.

Evelyn is survived by her son, Jeffery (Kathy) Ward; daughter, LaDonna Guthrie; brothers, Odean Cummings, Bill (Kathy) Crowe, Gathol (Evelyn) Crowe. She was “Nana” to 5 grandchildren, Todd Walker, Tanya Sanders, Joshua Guthrie, Jeffery Ward, Jacob Guthrie, and 7 great grandchildren, Zachery Sanders, Ryan Walker, Macie Sanders, Michelle Ward, Catherine Guthrie, Collin Guthrie, and James Ward.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Ward; second husband, John Trader; parents, Lewis and Trannie Crowe; brothers, Glendon Crowe, Lathol Crowe; sisters, Pauline Hopson, and Estelle Byrum.
