Graveside service for Evelyn Morris Pigg Rowe, 90, of Decatur will be Friday, Nov. 11, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Reverend Matt Nail officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Rowe, who died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016 at Summerford Nursing Home, was born March 10, 1926 in Lacey’s Spring to Theophilus Larimore Morris and Viola Jackson Morris. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Willard Pigg and Howard Rowe; and her brothers, James Morris, Charlie Morris and Harold Morris.
She is survived by her children, Doris Syers (Tom) and Pam Hogan, both of Decatur, Faye Holt (Don) of Scottsboro and Mike Pigg (Amy) of Auburn; her brothers, Jack Morris, Thomas Morris (Edna), Earl Morris (Olga) and Howard Morris (Sara), all of Decatur; her sister, Grace Stubbs (Harold) of Huntsville; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request memorials be made to Hospice of the Valley or the Alzheimer’s Association.
