Evelyn Marie Dowlen Dale Hicks, age 80, of Madison, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2026, at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:30 am, Tuesday, August 4th, at Good Springs Cemetery in Pleasant View with her family officiating.
Burial will follow with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Evelyn was born on July 12, 1946, in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late John, Sr. & Rosa Koonce Dowlen. She retired after 20 years with Metro Police. She loved Elvis and working in her rose garden with her favorite flowers, yellow roses. She especially loved her grandchildren. She was of the Southern Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Evan Dale; and her brother, John Ernest Dowlen, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Deidre Dale (fiancé Donovan Harris); grandchildren, Frances Dale (fiancé Hunter Goodwin), Chandler Dale (Rachel), Derrick Dale, Christian Dale, Star Dale, Rachel Harris, and Belle Harris; sister, Margaret Story; and nieces & nephews, Kenny Crowson, Chris Crowson, Rina Lieberman, and Shana Beroukas.
