Evelyn Maddox, 93, of Elkmont, Alabama passed away Saturday, July 2nd ,2022 at her home. She was born Tuesday, May 21, 1929 in Elkmont, Alabama to Raborn Floyd Wales and Susan Elizabeth Biggerstaff Wales.
Ms. Evelyn enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family. She was a member of Taft Church of Christ and loved her church. She also loved for her family to be with her and spend time with her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; twin brother, Buddy Wales; sisters, Sue Thorn, Rebecca Hodges and Geneva Hogan; and infant son.
She is survived by her husband, James Maddox of Elkmont, AL; son, Dennis Maddox, of Elkmont, AL; daughters, Kay (Dale) Coffman of Athens, AL and Lea Ann (Charles) Coffman of Athens, AL; niece, Ava Gilbert; grandchildren, Jeremy Coffman, Charlie Maddox, Susan Patterson, Amanda Burgett, and Cody Coffman; 14 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama from 12 Noon – 2:00 PM.
The Funeral Service will be July 6, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, AL with Bro. Carl Witty and Bro. Collier Raley. Burial to follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Coffman, Seth Coffman, Cody Coffman, Charlie Maddox, Jason Daigle, Matthew Daigle and Joe Patterson.
