Evelyn Kirk Hollingsworth, 97, of Covington Louisiana, formerly of Arab, died Friday November 11, 2016 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Mandeville, Louisiana.
Mrs. Hollingsworth was born May 29, 1919 in Hattiesburg Mississippi to Clem R. Kirk and Zelda Evelyn Sanders Kirk. She worked as a contracting officer on Redstone Arsenal until her retirement. She enjoyed playing Bridge and loved watching the Stock Market.
She was a member of Arab First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter: Carol H. Beane; her grandchildren: Lauren Chapman, Lisa and Gared Augello, Sara Perkins, Marianne and Jason Manley and Natalie Whitaker and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Tommie Joe Hollingsworth and her son Tom Hollingsworth Jr.
Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday November 19, 2016 at Arab Memorial Cemetery with Brother: Randy Blakely, officiating. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
