Evelyn Johnson, age 82, of Tuscumbia, died Saturday, May 9, 2015. Her family will receive friends Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Eddie Wix officiating. Burial will follow in Vandiver Hollow Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents; Hugh Edward Vandiver and
Lizzie Pennington Vandiver, and brothers; Willie Tillman Vandiver and James Archie Vandiver.
She is survived by her sons; David Hubert Johnson and wife Sherry, Jonathan R. Johnson, brothers; John E. Vandiver of Tuscumbia, G. W. Vandiver of Spruce Pine, and Ray Vandiver of Tuscumbia, sisters; Lecie Green of Lake Station, IN, and Elizabeth Hester of Tuscumbia; two grandchildren, Bradley Johnson and wife Courtney, Dustin Johnson, and; five great-grandchildren.
