Evelyn G. Wright, 79, of Nauvoo passed away on February 6, 2013 at her home.
She was born on July 29, 1933 in Curry, AL. Mrs. Wright was a member of First Baptist Church in Double Springs and also attended Old Union Baptist Church. She graduated from Winston County High School in 1951 and then graduated from the University of Alabama in 1963. She was an Airport School teacher for 20 years and worked for the State of Alabama for 15 years.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 8, 2013 from 6-9pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11am at Old Union Baptist Church. Reverend Terry Wright and Reverend Shawn Morgan will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Ronny N. (Rhonda) Elliott, Royce M. Elliott, Jerry R. (Julie) Elliott and Terry E. (Renee) Wright; she was Nana to 11 grandchildren, Ryan Elliott, Anya Bowens, Rebekah Danic, Jordan Hall, Diane Elliott, Rhett Elliott, Jamie Elliott, Justin Elliott, Madison Wright, Carson Wright and Parker Wright; and 3 great grandchildren, Alexie Bowens, Easton Danic and Masyn Elliott; and sisters, Genella Bobo and Camilla Cox.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Royce Wright; and her parents, Mate and Fannie Harris.
