Funeral service for Evelyn Douglas Vest, 98, will be Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold Thompson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Falkville City Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, May 11, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Vest died on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born February 6, 1920, in Morgan County to Lemuel Austin Douglas and Lola Virginia (Bean) Douglas. She was a homemaker, a lifelong Methodist and a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband: Doc Vest, daughter: Linda Vest, granddaughter: Sharon Turner and grandson: Terry Beavers.
