Evelyn Bowers of Huntsville, AL passed away on her birthday, December 16, 2025, in Huntsville.
Evelyn was born in Tacoma, WA to Julius and Renate Klimach on December 16, 1958. She grew up in Leesville, LA.
Evelyn was incredibly talented and enjoyed many things – painting, jewelry making, and knitting. She loved her family and friends with all she had. Being a mother and grandmother – even to those who weren’t related to her – was her absolute favorite role. She had a huge love of food, and her egg roll recipe is famous among anyone who knew her.
Evelyn is survived by her son, Brian Scott Bowers (Ashley); daughter, Jennifer Marie Crabb; bonus daughter, Heather Bree Thatcher (Jason); grandchildren, Dalton Robert and Brylee Ellen; and sister, Peggy Bollman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, William Bowers.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A visitation will follow at the funeral home.
