Evan Shahrokh Khodabandeh – Obituary

Evan Shahrokh Khodabandeh, 21, of Huntsville, passed away May 25, 2017. He was born December 27, 1995 in Huntsville, the son of Mohammad and Julia Khodabandeh. He graduated from Huntsville High School in 2014 where he was a four year varsity soccer letterman. He began at Millsaps College as a member of the men’s soccer team, and a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He later transferred to the University of Alabama, majoring in International Business.

Evan was a kind, loving young man who was cherished by all who knew him. He was very good working with children, and it showed in his volunteer work with soccer youth and with summer camps.

Evan is survived by his parents, Mohammad and Julia of Huntsville; sister, Lillian, of Birmingham; maternal grandfather, Charles Wojohn; paternal grandmother, Azar Farboud; and several aunts and cousins.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home.  A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday June 1, 2017, at Burritt on the Mountain. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to www.specialolympics.org.
