Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Eva Rose Hamby Winton McGee, age 86 of Winchester. Mrs. McGee passed from this life into life eternal in the early morning hours of Friday January 17, 2020 at the Lynchburg Nursing Center in Lynchburg, TN. A native of Franklin County, she spent much of life in Ohio where she worked as a cook at Menton School. She also worked as a landscaper and a private childcare worker for a number of years. She and her late husband, Bill Winton, returned to Franklin County in 2005. She will be remembered as a great mother and grandmother, loving her role as a homemaker. She loved cooking and entertaining guests, especially her family. She was a member of Broadview Baptist Church and lover of gospel music. Mrs. McGee is preceded in death by her mother, Nila Parsons Hamby and her father, Horace Hamby; her first husband, Bill Winton; two brothers and a sister. She leaves to cherish her memory and mourn her loss, her husband of 8 years, Hubert McGee of Winchester, TN; daughter, Pamela (Jim) Wilmot of Burton, OH; son, Michael (Ilean) Winton of Birmingham, AL; sister, Katherine Crownover of Pelham, TN; brother, Henry (Lorene) Hamby, also of Pelham, TN; granddaughter, Venessa (Ryan) Henderson of Seattle, WA and grandson, Luke (Danielle) Wilmot of Columbus, OH.; step-daughter Pamela McGee of Shelbyville, TN. The family will receive friends at Watson-North Funeral Home between the hours of 5 and 8 p.m. Monday January 20, 2020. The funeral service will be conducted from the Roy B. Watson Chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Tuesday January 21, 2020 with Rev. Charles Houston of Broadview Baptist Church officiating.
