Eva Eddy, 82, of Hartselle, Alabama passed away on April 1, 2018 at her residence. She was surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born June 8, 1935 in Roanoke, Virginia to parents Guy Henry Eddins Jr. and Pauline Bruce Eddins. She graduated from Jefferson Senior High School in Roanoke, Virginia and later earned an associate degree in Art from Calhoun Community College. She owned and operated Eva’s China and Gifts in Hartselle from 1980 to 2000.

Eva was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a devoted patron of the arts and had a passion for photography. She possessed an independent and adventurous spirit which led her on travels across the country and to Europe, Asia, and South America. In November of 2017, Eva traveled on her own to Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Susan Kinney (Dan) of McCalla, David Eddy (Tammy) of Hartselle, Steven Eddy (Glynda) and Stephanie Burroughs, both of Vinemont; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Arnold Eddy, her parents, and sister Shelia Ann Eddins Overstreet.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 10 am at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Jeremy Wilson officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 6 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home.

Matthew Eddy, Micah Eddy, Nicholas Eddy, Joseph Kinney, Jacob Scherzer, Joshua Shannon, Adam Ray and Lewis Allen Bingham will serve as pallbearers.
