Sister Eva Mae Walker Vinson 78, of Trinity died Friday, November 30th. at Decatur Morgan Hospital/Decatur General Campus. Her funeral will be Thursday, December 6th. at 12 noon at David Temple Baptist Primitive Baptist Church in Hillsboro with Bishop Curtis Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Foster-Davis Cemetery. She will be placed in the church one hour prior to the funeral.
Sister Eva was born May 19, 1934 in Lawrence County, AL to the late Hugh Walker, Sr. and Gustavia Campbell Walker. She was the youngest of nine children.
She confessed Christ at an early age, and joined the David Temple Primitive Baptist Church where she remained active until her health failed. She was a faithful worker in the church and community until her health prevented her from being active. She was a member of the Missionary Society and Usher Board. She retired from Goodyear Mills.
On November 30th. at Decatur Morgan Hospital, the sweet spirit of our dear Sister Vinson went to join her Savior. She was preceded in death by her son Dr. William O’neal Nash, Sr. five brothers; William Walker, Hugh Walker Jr., Milton Walker, LeAndrew Walker and James Walker, two sisters; Sarah Walker and Adella Walker Williams.
Public viewing will be Tuesday and Wednesday, December 4th. and 5th. from 10-7 here at the funeral home.
