Eva Lavelle Herring passed away on December 2, 2020. A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 1 p.m. in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Scott Livingston will be officiating.
She was a light to so many. She never failed to speak of her faith and the Lord to anyone and everyone she met. She was the organist at Valdosta Baptist church until she was 90 years old. She loved her family and was always there to support and encourage them. She will be greatly missed, but will be reunited with her precious husband of 73 years.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James F. Herring; oldest daughter, Rita Hewlett; grandson, Adam Herring; and granddaughter, Carmen Jill Bowling.
She is survived by her son, Mike Herring; daughters, Vicki Bowling and Becky Wilson; her grandchildren, Cecily Smith (Blake), Tyler Herring (Jessica), Ryan Herring (Bailey), Will Hewlett (Victoria), and Katie Bynon; her great grandchildren, Hunter Bynon (Maci), Reed Mansell, Bess Smith, Lily Herring, Ava Herring, Ava Hewlett, Carter Hewlett and Isabella Hewlett; great-great granddaughter, Charleigh Brooke Bynon.
