Eules James Cossey, age 92 of Estill Springs, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at his residence. He was born March 23, 1929 in Lincoln County to the late Harvey Delmer Cossey and Olive Lee Tant Cossey. A local businessman, he owned Cossey Mobil and Rock Creek Grocery as well as being employed with Rock-Tenn for forty years. In 1997, he and his wife sold everything they owned, bought a new truck and camper and began their new adventure. They enjoyed traveling the country for 3 ½ years and spent three months in Alaska. He will be remembered as a Godly, humble and hardworking man that lived his faith by example. In 2016, he and his wife, Martha, were recognized by their community and were awarded the title of Mr. and Mrs. Estill Springs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Martha L. Cossey; son, Richard Eules Cossey; siblings, Grady Cossey, Wayne Cossey, June Massengill, Gladys Wiseman and Lottie Quick. He is survived by his children, Diane Stoker of Estill Springs, Anita (Dwayne) Ptaschek of Harvest, AL, Rhonda (Cliff) Adams of Shelbyville and James (Rachelle) Cossey of Wartrace; grandchildren, Leah (Jonathan) Graviss of Roswell, GA, Micah (Kris) Morrison of Hudson, OH, Lucas (Jennifer) Simpson of Bell Buckle, Samantha (Randy) Howington of Pegram, TN, Jenny (Chance) Boyle of Silver Lake, KS, John (Kristen) Adams of Tullahoma, Ben (Haley) Adams of Wartrace, Kaila (Tyler) Walls of Tullahoma, Haven Rens of McMinnville, Sierra and Leah Zeiler of Watrace; great-grandchildren, Allyson, Briana, Caroline, Jonathan, Kayla, Ryan, Isaac, Cashlee, Chaselie, Callie, Jay, Levi, Caroline, Charli, Cooper, Bryce, Tripp, Evy, Brenlea, Ashlyn, Madison, Noah and Stella; sisters, Mary Stephens of Keith Springs and Martha Ann King of Decherd. Visitation will be 11 am-1 pm Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1 pm Sunday in Moore-Cortner Chapel with Bro.
