God called Eula Yvonne Todd Camp, age 75, of Tuscumbia home on Tuesday, September 10, 2013. She was at home surrounded by her family that loved her sooo much. Eula
Eula was born on January 1, 1938 in Palo Alto, California. She received the Liatris Award for an outstanding color display in the Town of Mt. Laurel in Birmingham, Alabama. Eula loved her animals, cooking, spending time with her family, gardening and dancing. Eula had a green thumb and her and her husband, Jerry Camp, were great dancers. Eula’s father owned and raced horses and her great grandfather rode horses with Jesse James.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 12-2pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where services will be held at 2pm. Burial will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Wiley Branch Community. Pastor Benny Knight will officiate.
She is survived by her sons, Jerry (Tammy) Camp, Rodney (Vonda) Camp; daughters, Cherlyn Camp, Rosemarie (Steve) Camp, Mary Camp (Ricky) Thomas; brother, Doug (Cynthia) Todd; sister, Billie Greene and a special niece and nephews, Phillip (Charlotte) Todd, Elijah Todd and Matthew Todd. She was “Nana” to 34 grandchildren, Eula Camp, Jeri Camp, Christopher Bailey, Tiffany Bailey, Todd Bailey, Kerby Camp, Rosalee Camp, Kristen Camp, Preston Camp, Paula Camp, Carson Camp, Kyle Camp, Steven DeCarolis, Stacey DeCarolis, Laura Dempsey, Stephanie Burkett, Felicia Camp, Sabrina Camp, Dezeria Holland, Rodney Camp, David Berry, Daniel Berry, Mellisa McWhirt, Alexandria Thomas, Ricky Thomas, Aleah Thomas, Ashley Todd, Cherilyn Todd, Brittany Todd, Derek Todd, Katie Todd, Haley Todd, Jona and Bryalon; 9 great grandchildren, Necko Camp, Rosemarie Camp, Victoria Lopez, Alexis Bailey, Peyton Bailey, Joby Bailey, Parker Dempsey, Teryn Jean Watson and Courtney Watson and 2 great- great grandchildren, Aiden Camp and Serenity Jimenez.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Jerry Camp; parents, O.J. and Mary Wyatt Todd; son, Todd Camp; grandsons, Tanner Camp, Anthony DeCarolis; granddaughter, Brandy Thomas and brother Denny Todd.
