Eula Mae Wilson affectionately known by “Dood”, age 97 of Addison, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 29, 1928 to Elek Newt and Mary Katherine Smothers. Eula Mae was a Master’s Degree level school teacher, a devout Christian, and a devoted mother. She was an educator for over 30 years having taught at Addison Elementary for 26 years. Eula Mae was a member of First Baptist Addison. Visitation will be Sunday, March 29, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home, where the service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Addison. Brother Tim Box will officiate. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons, Josh, Jake, Ian, Michael, Payton, Austin, Asher, and Wyatt. Eula Mae is survived by her children, Ronnie (Judi) Wilson, David Wilson, Dana (Ken) Cunningham, and Rusty (Amanda) Wilson; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hansel Earnest Wilson; infant children, Brenda Jo Wilson and Baby Boy Wilson; grandson, Trent Wilson; parents Eleck Newt and Mary Katherine Smothers; brother, Coy Smothers; and sisters, Omie Williams, Lucy Carroll, Lona Golden.
