Eula Bea Sheffield – Obituary

Eula Bea Sheffield, 87, died Thursday, January 19, 2017, at the River Place Nursing Center in Amory. She was born April 11, 1929, in the Ozark community to Troy and Belvie Jane South Spigner. She was a member of the Ozark Methodist Church. She was a seamstress, working at Mantachie and Marietta Maunfacturing, among other places. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and watching basketball on television.

Services will be at 2 p. m. Sunday, January 22, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with the Rev. Joe Coggins officiating. Burial will be in the Ozark Cemetery.

Survivors include three sons, Danny O. Sheffield (Judy), Roger G. Sheffield (Jennifer), and Eric Sheffield (Missy), all of Mantachie; one daughter, Rhonda Sheffield Ruth of Savannah, GA; one brother, Lewis Spigner (Nita) of Ozark; one sister, Podesta Roberson of Athens, TN; ten grandchildren, Derek, Jacob, Seth Sheffield, Kyle and Wes Weaver, Anna Reed Sheffield, Tyler and Savannah Ruth, Hannah Carroll, and Hayley Seago; twelve great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Hugh Sheffield; one daughter, Joyce Jane Rieves Underwood; one grand-daughter, Dana Sheffield; one sister, Lodeska Tyra; one brother, G. C. Spigner; and her parents.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Sunday at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
