Eugene Thomas, 83, of Glen, MS passed away at Magnolia Regional Health Center on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. Born in Macon, MS on December 15, 1939 to the late George and Ardell Warren Thomas, Mr. Thomas worked in maintenance for Holcim and was a member of Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church. He also pastored various churches during his life. He will forever be missed by those who loved him. Visitation is scheduled for 10-11 am Friday, September 29, 2023 at Magnolia Funeral Home – East. A celebration of Mr. Thomas’s life will follow at 11 am officiated by Bro. Donnie Waldrop. Pallbearers include Scott Moore, Donnie Howard, Shea James, and Randal Dowd. Interment will follow in Dogwood Cemetery. Magnolia Funeral Home – East is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Mr. Thomas’s memory include his wife of 53 years, Jane Thomas; his daughter, Teresa Howard (Donnie); his grandchildren, Brittany Dowd (Randal), Kaitlin James (Shea), and Scott Moore; his great grandchildren, Brayden, Adley, Ledger, and Meredith; his sister, Sue Read; other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his brothers, Marvin Thomas, Leo Thomas, and Kenneth Thomas.
