Etta Pauline Pounders, age 94, entered Heavens gates on February 18, 2016. She slipped away peacefully surrounded by her family.
Pauline was a lifelong resident of Franklin County. She was a vibrant, energetic woman who enjoyed living life. She was a devout member of Isbell Church of Christ and her faithfulness was an example of her love for Jesus.
She was preceded in death by her husband of forty years, Cazie E. Pounders;her parents, Amos and Jessie Rickard; brothers, Lloyd Rickard and Lindbergh Rickard; sisters, Evelyn Wingo and Mae Hester.
She is survived by one son, Stanley and wife Teresa; Grandchild, Deanna Russ and husband Roy; great-grandchildren, Shelby and Morgan; Brother, Kenneth Rickard; Several nieces and nephews with special mention for Gary Hester and wife Carol, Tim Hester and wife Marie, and Sarah Hall and husband Roger.
Pallbearers include, Gary Hester, Tim Hester, Doug Hester, Roger Hester, Steve Defoor, and Raymond Horton.
The memorial service will be held at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville with Bro. George Hutto officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The service will follow in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Franklin Memory Gardens following the service.
