Ethel Mae Githens Nungester, age 90 of Estill Springs, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022, at The Waters of Winchester. She was born in Lima, Ohio on July 18, 1932, to the late Clyde and Florence Estella (Cook) Githens. Before her retirement, she had worked as a secretary at Elida High School. Ethel Mae enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, and making homemade ice cream. But most of all, she cherished the time spent visiting with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Nungester; and siblings, Doris, John, Weldon, and Maxine. Ethel Mae is survived by her loving children, Terry Nungester of Elida, Ohio, Becky Herbert of Estill Springs, Mark (Lisa) Nungester of Lima, Ohio, and Brian (Lisa) Nungester of Estill Springs.
