Ethel Geneva Simpson, age 83, of Sheffield, passed away Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014. Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 30, from 1 p.m. until 3 .p.m at Spry-Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Ralton McCarley officiating. Burial will be at Sheffield Oakwood. Pallbearers are family and friends.
She was a member of First Church of Nazarene and a retired nurse at Shoals Nursing Home.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel Simpson; children, Sammy Ray Simpson (Lucy), Donald L. Simpson (Jeannie), and Darla S. Letsinger (Anthony); and sister, Dorothy Lawson.
