Yauch Profile PhotoEsper Johnson Yauch, 95, of Huntsville, AL, formerly of Thomasville, GA, passed away on May 6, 2024.  She was born January 20, 1929 in Ochlocknee, GA, to Shafter Lamar and Lucile Hurst Johnson.  Mrs. Yauch was a member of Dawson Street United Methodist Church where she was the co-founder and director of Happy Corners Kindergarten.  She taught Sunday School, was a circle member, and held various committee positions throughout the years.  She also worked as the School Secretary at Central High School.  She loved spending time with her family and friends, cooking, sewing, and gardening.  She was married to Frank Yauch for 67 years before his passing in 2015.  She is survived by her children, Alan Yauck (Bobbye), Vicki Y Robinson (Craig), and Cindy Y Monteith, her sister Rebecca J. Carlton, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Mrs. Yauch was predeceased by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Shafter Johnson (Jean), Jesse Johnson (Sandy), and L.D. Johnson (Margaret), and brother-in-law, Ray Carlton.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 10526 US-84, Thomasville, GA.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to The Methodist Home for Children & Youth, P.O. Box 2525, Macon , GA, 31203, www.themethodisthome.org or your favorite charity.
