Ervin Edmond Stancil, age 86, of Spruce Pine, passed away on Friday, May 01, 2026, at his residence.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Annette Thorn Stancil; children, Brian Stancil, John Stancil, James Stancil, Pam Hargett, Jeff Hargett; grandchildren, Brooke, Bridgett, Justus, Jonah, Brittney, Benjamin, Whitney, Jake, Tanner, Casey; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Logan, Caden, Jamie, Conner, Easton, Ryder, Posie, A.J., Noah, Amelia; brother, Jimmy Stancil; and several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 65 years, Clara Nell Stancil; parents, Guy & Dessa Stancil; and brother, Jerry Stancil.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 03, 2026, at Shady Grove Cemetery. Speaking at the service will be Bobby Stancil and John Stancil.
