Ernestine Hattie Kirkendoll, age 86 of Monteagle, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Betty’s Place in Huntland. She was born in Tracy City on April 26, 1937, to the late Henry and Hattie Dove. For many years, she was the owner and operator of Kriss’s Beauty Shop in Rossville, Georgia. While working as a beautician, Ernestine was all about making sure everyone left her shop feeling their very best. She was a member of Myers Hill Baptist Church in Tracy City. Her family and friends will miss her loving and caring nature. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold L. Kirkendoll; infant daughter, Mary Elizabeth Kirkendoll; grandson, Paul David Kirkendoll Jr; and brothers, Charlie Dove, and Charles Burnett. Ernestine is survived by her loving son, Paul David (Patricia) Kirkendoll; granddaughter, Brooke (Brandon) Willoughby; great-grandchildren, Jaron, Brandalyn, Hannah, and Easton; and special cousins, Debbie (Cordell) Newsome, Ginger (Howard) Corder, Barbara Myers; great-niece, Nicole (Susie) Dove; and great caregivers, Cindy and Troy Bryant. Visitation will be from 12-2pm on Friday, March 1, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm at in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
