Ernest Rex Wonders, age 92, of Huntsville, AL passed away Monday, May 18, 2015. He was born in River Rouge, MI to Ernest and Edla Wonders. He was one of six children Olive Jeanne, Eileen, Harold, Opal and Shirley. He served in the United States Army. He worked as an engineer in the manufacturing industry. He was preceded in death by his wife Honor Wonders, his parents Ernest and Edla Wonders, brother Harold and sisters Olive Jeanne, Eileen and Opal. He is survived by his children Larry (Lance) Wonders and Donna Harris; grandchildren Laura Alcantara, Melissa Packard, Petra Wonders, Paul Wonders and David Wonders; sister Shirley and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at 9:00 am with the funeral following at 10:00 AM at Weatherly Heights Baptist Church, 1306 Cannstatt Dr., Huntsville, AL 35803. Burial will be at Hampton Cove Cemetery. There will be refreshments at the church following the burial Pallbearers will be Lance Wonders, Bobbie Harris, Jason Norton and Celso Flores. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul wonders and David Wonders. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Weatherly Heights Baptist Church van fund.
