Ernest Franklin Flippo, age 70, of Sulligent, AL, passed away Monday, September 6, 2021 at UAB in Birmingham, AL. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Pope Cemetery. Bro. Dewayne Cantrell to officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

Ernest was born on October 19, 1950 in Aberdeen, MS to the late Issac Frank Flippo and the late Willodean Barrentine Flippo. He attended Greenwood Springs and Hatley Schools. Ernest retired from NACCO, and previously worked at Walker in Aberdeen, MS. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, gardening and fishing.
