Erlene Meeks Ivey, 93, of Jasper, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2022, at her residence. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Walker Memory Gardens. Brother Don Graham will officiate.
She was a member at Farmstead Baptist Church, a homemaker, and owner of Twin Lakes Golf Course. She loved to cook and take care of her family, always had Sunday lunch for everyone. She loved to cook all kinds of desserts, and loved to garden. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles B. Ivey; parents, John and Vernada Meeks; siblings, Wesley Meeks, Berta Daily, and Joe Meeks.
She is survived by her children, Charles W. Ivey (Faye), Dennis L. Ivey (Freda), and Johnny M. Ivey; grandchildren, Elizabeth Blackburn (Mitch), Nancy Megginson (Chris), and Nathan Ivey (Jessica); great grandchildren, Jackson Blackburn, Taylor Blackburn, John Megginson, Mayim Megginson, Sara Megginson, Joanna Ivey, Josiah Ivey, and Lydia Ivey; nieces, Cindy Daily, Cathy Bruce, Connie Brown, and Kari Heugens; and nephew, David Meeks.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to The Gideons International.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Megginson and Doug Bruce.
Pall bearers will be Nathan Ivey, Mitch Blackburn, Caden Bruce, Carden Bruce, Connor Brown, and Kenneth Stewart.
