Eris W. Thornton, 90, of Florence, went to Heaven on February 07, 2016.
She was a member of Underwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Wade Horton. Survivors include her daughter, Pam Horton (Ken); grandson, Chris Horton; granddaughter-in-law, Kati Horton; great-grandchildren, Jack Horton and Grace Horton; cousin, Marylee Bush; special friends, Bill and Gertrude Butler. The family would like to thank the staff at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home for the loving care they gave her, with a very special thanks to Robyn. A heart felt thanks also to Donnie McDaniel, Jerry Phillips, Jeannie Johnson, Donna McCreary and other close friends for their support and prayers. A family graveside service will be held in Tuscaloosa, Ala. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Underwood Baptist building fund. Greenview Funeral Home is officiating.
