Erik Wayne Daugherty, age 68, of Florence passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2014. Visitation will be Friday, July 4, 5:00-6:00 P.M. at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church with the service to follow at 6:00 P.M. with John Hill and Gene Fulmer officiating. Interment will be at the adjoining cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gene Fulmer, Jimmy Mitchell, Randy Broadfoot, Tommy McDonald, Danny Frederick, Larry Broadfoot, David Smith, Buddy Broadfoot, Shane Rhodes, Roy Daugherty, Derek Daugherty, Joey Palmer, Brent Deerman, Kenneth Hayes and Jimmy Hayes. Mr. Daugherty was a 1964 graduate of Central High School, worked as a machinist at Reynolds Aluminum. He enjoyed running, motorcycles and music especially, piano, guitar and the harmonica. Preceding him in death were his parents, Clifford & Marguerite Daugherty and his brother, Dan Daugherty. Survivors include: Children: Derek & Arena Daugherty Roy & Michelle Daugherty Tammy & Joey Palmer Joy & Brent Deerman Grandchildren: Connor, Caitlin & Sean Daugherty Gabriel & Tristen Palmer Ayden & Bryce Deerman Chelsey & Colby Daugherty Siblings: Tommy Daugherty & Sissy Ann Williams Everyone will remember Erik as being a “Fighter to the End.”
